Materials for Mixing And Mastering Services
Do you already have a multi-track recording of a song and you want the Crosscountry recording studio to make mixing and mastering of this song? Great! We are pleased to get to work. You can participate in the process personally, or to make online-order. Both variants are good. Just contact us to order!
But first to begin, we need to agree the data formats and ways of transfering. And then we get to work and make a great song! So, a few words about the formats…
Sending separate files for mixing
File format: WAV, 44.1, 48kHz; 16, 24, 32 bit.
Preparing material
- All tracks must be rendered from zero bar to the end of the song
- Remove ALL processing effects from the master bus, and dynamic (compressors, limiters) and spatial processing (reverb, delay) from the tracks and buses. Leave only those effects and filters, which are part of the sound design
- Specify the song tempo in BPM as well as any comments and suggestions to the supporting letter in *.txt.
Sending materials in different DAW’s
We accept projects in:
- Steinberg Nuendo (Version 4+)
- Steinberg Cubase (Version 5+)
- Reaper
Preparing material
- Match the tracks tempo to the tempo specified in the DAW project
- Clean the master bus from ALL processings.
- Remove all the third-party processings and effects from the project. Leave only DAW’s natives, but only wich are part of the sound design.
- Specify any comments and suggestions to the supporting letter in *.txt.
- Add your demo in MP3, if you think that it contents particular style and sound as refference.
Preparing materials for mastering
File format: WAV 16,24,32bit 44,1-96kHz without ANY master processing (EQ, compression, etc.)
Transfering to the studio
- Add all your files into the folder and make an archive of it (use the “store mode” without compression). Use a password if it’s possible.
- We accept all standart archive formats: RAR, ZIP, 7Z, etc.
- Publish your archive on any file sharing service (http://dropmefiles.com, for example) and send us a link via e-mail
IMPORTANT! Don’t send your projects directly on email. Our mailserver doesn’t allow big files transmission.
Provision of finished work to the client
Formats
Мix files – WAV PCM,48000, 24bit
Master files – WAV PCM,44100, 16bit
Master copies for web publishing – MP3, Stereo, CBR 256Kbit
Transfering to the client
- Publishing an archive on any file sharing service (http://dropmefiles.com, for example) and send you a link via e-mail
- By any any delivery service, on your choise. Shipping cost is on your account.
Sources, project files
We do not return any sources, project files.
All the presets, projects and half-work results are the property of the studio and can not be returned.
The studio undertakes to store the final results during one month after sending them to the client to avoid the situation of lost them. Further storage or destruction – at the discretion of studio management.
Responsibility and rights
By making order, our clients by default guarantee the legitimacy of the songs rights used by them and take responsibility according to the Ukrainian laws, and to the laws of the country which resident they are.
Terms of copyright and related rights are regulated by contracts.
